At TriStone Apps, we take your privacy extremely seriously. Our applications, MyCycle, CycleRadar, and the supplementary utility Family Key, are built on the principle of Local-First Data. This means we have designed our software so that we never see, collect, or store your personal information on our own servers. Please note: Our applications are strictly lifestyle wellness logs and relationship journals; they are not medical devices, do not provide medical advice, and must not be used for medical diagnosis or contraception.
The Core Principle: We do not have any cloud servers of our own for MyCycle & CycleRadar apps. Your data stays where it belongs—on your device and in your personal storage.
1. Data Collection and Usage
Our applications are designed to function without the need for an account or registration with us.
- Personal Information: We do not collect names, email addresses, or phone numbers.
- Health & Intimacy Data: All cycle tracking, intimacy logs, and symptoms are stored in an encrypted database locally on your smartphone.
- No Analytics: We do not analyze your data, read it, or sell it to anyone. We do not use third-party tracking tools or analytics. Your usage patterns remain private.
- Data Retention and Deletion: Since all health, cycle, and intimacy data is stored exclusively on your own device or within your private Google Drive folder, you have absolute control over it. You can permanently delete your local data at any time using the "Clear Data" option within the app settings or by uninstalling the application. To completely remove your cloud backups, you can manually delete the app's backup file directly from your personal Google Drive storage.
2. Failure Protection (Cloud Sync)
To enable backup, the apps use your personal Google Drive storage.
- The app creates a private folder in your Google Drive.
- All data is encrypted before it leaves your device by a password of your choice.
- TriStone Apps has no access to your Google account credentials, the backup password, or any other files on your Drive.
3. Innovative Sharing (Family Radar)
If you choose to connect the app with your family member or a friend, the data does not flow through any third-party corporate servers. The synchronization mechanism is fully controlled by the user sharing the data.
- How it works: The ecosystem exclusively uses your own Google Drive space. The companion app (MyCycle) securely uploads data, while the receiving app (CycleRadar or another MyCycle instance) only reads from that specific authorized location.
- User-Initiated Consent: Data sharing is strictly opt-in and must be actively initiated by the user of the primary tracking app.
- What is shared: Only the necessary "mathematical minimum" (cycle length, last period date, and its length) is synchronized to help users stay in sync.
- Privacy: None of your personal notes, moods, intimacy records, symptoms, or personal texts are ever shared or transmitted between devices.
- Encryption: Data stored on your Drive is secured with strong random encryption. Even if someone gained unauthorized access to your Drive, they would only see an unreadable mess.
4. System Lock and Discretion
To protect against people around you, you can lock the app. When PrivacyManager is enabled, the app locks, and Android prevents taking screenshots and hides previews in the recent apps overview.
5. Device Permissions
The apps may request the following permissions only when necessary for their core functions:
- Notifications (Optional): To remind you of upcoming phases or events.
- Biometrics (Optional): To secure the app launch with your fingerprint or face recognition.
- Internet Access (Optional): Exclusively for synchronization with your personal Google Drive.
6. Third-Party Services
Our apps do not display advertisements and do not share any data with third-party advertising networks or data brokers.
7. Family Key
The Family Key application is a supplementary licensing utility (unlocker). Its sole purpose is to verify the purchase status of premium features for MyCycle and CycleRadar applications via the Google Play Billing system.
- No Data Collection: This application does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, health-related information, or identifiers.
- No Special Permissions: The app does not require access to your location, contacts, or any other sensitive system permissions.
- Transparency: The only interaction with servers is the standard license verification performed by the Google Play Store API.
